The project brief

Logistics planned around the build—not around the truck.

Chevron One required more than point-to-point transport. Every movement had to fit the construction program, constrained site access, trade sequencing and the lifting or unloading method available at the time of arrival.

Foley Logistics supported the project through different delivery stages, combining transport capacity with crane placement, supplier coordination and the removal, redistribution and storage of pallet stock.

The operating challenge

A high-volume site with very little room for disconnected delivery decisions.

The logistics task combined transport, timing, handling and site interface requirements across a long-running high-rise program.

01 · ACCESS

Restricted delivery windows

Vehicle arrival, unloading position and dwell time had to be coordinated with the live site and surrounding urban access.

02 · SEQUENCING

Multiple trades and suppliers

Freight movements needed to align with construction stages rather than simply arriving when the load became available.

03 · HANDLING

Different load profiles

General materials, oversized loads and reusable pallet stock required different vehicles, restraint methods and unloading plans.

04 · PLACEMENT

Crane-assisted delivery

Selected loads required controlled lifting and mechanical placement, supported by crane-truck and semi-crane capability.

05 · FLOW

Pallet accumulation

Empty and surplus pallets had to be collected, consolidated, stored, redistributed, recycled or removed before obstructing work areas.

06 · SAFETY

Live construction controls

Every movement operated within site directions, load-restraint requirements and the changing conditions of an active build.

STAGE 01

Scope each movement

Confirm load dimensions, weight, pickup readiness, site window, access limitations and the required unloading method before allocating equipment.

STAGE 03

Coordinate dispatch and site arrival

Sequence collection and travel around delivery windows, site instructions and the availability of personnel or lifting areas.

STAGE 04

Deliver, lift or position

Complete the final interface safely—whether the task is straightforward unloading, crane-assisted placement or controlled handover to the site team.

STAGE 05

Own the complete pallet cycle

Foley Logistics collected empty pallets, transported them to storage, maintained pallet availability, redistributed stock back to the project when required and coordinated recycling for damaged or surplus units. The client did not need to manage separate storage, transport and recycling providers.

ONGOING PROGRAM

Support the project for more than 18 months

The service operated across scattered project requirements from approximately July 2024 through to early 2026, with vehicle allocation and pallet movements adjusted around changing site demand.

Foley Logistics scope

One coordinated operating model across transport and handling.

One accountable logistics partner managed the vehicle allocation, loading method, site coordination, delivery execution, pallet storage and recovery process.

3.5-TONNE FLATBED TAXI TRUCK

Responsive transport for palletised freight and smaller site loads

The flatbed taxi truck handled urgent and scheduled pallet movements where fast access, a compact vehicle footprint and open-deck loading were required. It supported supplier collections, storage transfers, redistribution to site and time-sensitive movements through the constrained urban delivery environment.

6.5-TONNE FLATBED CRANE TRUCK

Transport and mechanical unloading completed by one coordinated unit

This unit combined useful payload capacity with crane-assisted handling, allowing selected loads to be collected, transported, lifted and positioned without arranging a separate unloading provider. It was allocated where controlled placement, restricted access or reduced site handling were important.

8-TONNE CRANE TRUCK

Higher-capacity crane-truck support for heavier project materials

The larger crane truck supported heavier construction loads and tasks requiring greater payload and lifting capability. Vehicle selection, load restraint, arrival timing, crane setup and final placement were coordinated around the live site requirements and available operating area.

COMPLETE PALLET LIFECYCLE

Collection, storage, stock control, redistribution and recycling

Foley Logistics managed the complete pallet process rather than leaving the client to coordinate separate suppliers. Empty and surplus pallets were collected from site, moved to off-site storage, recorded, made available for redistribution and returned when required. Damaged or excess stock was directed through the appropriate recycling or disposal pathway.

DELIVERY-WINDOW COORDINATION

Every arrival planned around access, sequencing and the live construction program

Dispatch confirmed the delivery window, site contact, vehicle access, unloading location and handling method before arrival. Movements were sequenced around surrounding traffic, other contractors and changing site activity. Where timing or conditions changed, the delivery plan and vehicle allocation were adjusted before the load reached the constrained work area.

SITE-READY EXECUTION

Prepared drivers, compliant load restraint and controlled final handover

Each movement was completed in accordance with the planned task, site directions and relevant safety requirements. Drivers arrived with the required transport and restraint equipment, communicated with the nominated site contact, completed unloading or crane-assisted placement and provided a controlled handover. Delivery records, photographs and proof of completion supported accountability across the program.

Capability demonstrated

Capacity is useful. Coordination is what keeps a major project moving.

Chevron One demonstrates Foley Logistics’ ability to combine multiple vehicle types, handling requirements and repeat movements inside a demanding, multi-stage project environment.

Project information

Development facts were cross-checked against Chevron One’s published project updates and public project profiles. Foley Logistics scope, fleet and volume figures are based on the company’s confirmed project records and management information.

Timeline note: Foley’s work was delivered through scattered, demand-led stages over more than 18 months. July 2024 to early 2026 is presented as an approximate operating period rather than a fabricated exact commencement date.
